February 5, thePhotoProject
This day I did not find as many photos in previous years. And though some of these are rather mundane, it’s a good primer to realize that we live many unremarkable days. Or are they? Is something internal happening that doesn’t allow us to see what is going on around us?
2012 Padua, Italy. My very early days living in Italy. Still not sure if I would last more than a couple of months there. (It turned into over eight years).
2013 Denver, Colorado. I remember this phot had a huge effect on me. I do not know why, but the mural on the wall made me think of cavemen and women scrawling out their living histories in their dark homes. I wrote a poem that went with this image. I have looked for it, but cannot fined it— I am pretty sure it is in one of my poetry books.
2014 Istanbul ,Turkey. My first trip to this amazing city. I have been lucky enough to return a couple times since then.
