January 13, thePhotoProject
This day of the month, represented over many years, seems to be a conglomeration of visions seen, but opportunities missed. Most of these photographs have a spark of something, but lack a finesse which in many cases I cannot bring back to the more perfect match that’s in my head because the original photograph is lost, and only the processed photo from that year remains. But they still catch my eye as I rummage back through time.
Arcella, Italy. Image taken through the windshield of a motorcycle.
Arcella, Italy. The ‘between’ space along the road between two of my favorite cafes; Cafe Arcella and Tutto Gelato.
Arcella, Italy. An iPhone megazoom photo that barely holds up, but I cannot deny the feeling it invokes in me.
Naples, Italy. For years, I was told to stay away from the dangerous and unruly southern city of Italy. Thankfully, I overcame this trepidation, since the the pleasures of this amazing city far outweigh the perceived risks.
Padua, Italy. I wish I had the original to this photo, but all I have is an over-processed image that now does better as black and white.
Somewhere in England. Can’t get more British than Elton John.
In my artistic dreams. From time to time, I dabble in alternative processing. This is one of my early attempts to combine drawing and photography using the powerful Procreate app on my iPad.
São Paulo, Brazil
CDMX, Mexico
Da Nang, Vietnam
