Details small and large: My motivation to capture an image is sometimes honed down to one simple subject, or expanded into capturing the complex movement of a scene.

2015 Padua, Italy. This cafe opened near the train station. The owner, pictured here, was a Romanian woman who had won some type of competition on a cooking show. Opening a cafe was her passion. Sadly, the business failed after e a few years.

2016 Cafe Arcella, Italy. In contrast, this traditional cafe has stood the test of time.
