To create this daily blog, I have to sift through over 500,000 photos. I skim through each day and see just a few from any given day. When one or two catch my attention, I save them in a folder, then download that folder into Lightroom. There I assign one of a few presets, and make some minor adjustments. I’m not trying to create pristine images, rather just try to catch a bit of the feeling that made me take that photo.
Train station in Padua, Italy. The starting place of so many journeys for me one the years.
Look up in Padua, Italy and discover the past.
Over the years I noticed this lady. She was bit off, her face heavily made up and always wearing this coat and wandering the streets of Padua, Italy. I hope this photo gives her a little justice, an ethereal presence in an ancient city.
Emmett, Idaho. A community outside Boise that for many years was on the downward swing, but with rising population , now finding rebirth as a desirable suburb over a mountain pass.
The entrance to the El Feltrinelli book store in Padua, Italy. The downstairs had a sizable collection of books in English, including several of mine I would leave there. Smiley Face Emoji.
The Villages, Florida. Sadly, my uncle was going through a hard time. My sisters and I flew there to help rearrange his house, which we found to be in a classic hoarder state. It was not the best of times for a sibling reunion, but it was a necessary family time.

Da Nang, Vietnam. A pretty decent pizza here I had a few times during my stay.
